Gorguts' OBSCURA on a Greek prog radio

Hi everybody, Luc here, Just a little word to tell you that our album OBSCURA will be played in it's totality on march 14th 5 PM (NY time) on air of this Greek Prog Radio show: www.justincaseradio.com

New Gorguts album

Dear fans, It’s with so much joy and happiness that I write these lines to you. The past 2 years haven’t always been smooth sailing regarding this last record. A lot of legal, important factors, far from music composition have held this project in standby, but finally that’s all behind us now. The least I can say is that I cannot wait to share these last compositions with each of you.

We've added several tour dates in Europe, check them out here!

Direct support for the Death to All tour!

Canadian technical death metallers GORGUTS have been confirmed as the support act for the "Death To All Tour 2012" in benefit of Sweet Relief. This five-city tour will feature a majority of DEATH's amazing musicians, as well as special guests. This tour is to celebrate the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as to raise awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund — a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems.

European tour

We'll be playing Europe from August 3 - August 18. Check our tour section for dates!

Gorguts - Reunited, With Wisdom and Hate

It’s no coincidence that Canada’s metal landscape is a harbinger of the innovative, the complex, the technical and the brutally extreme. Forged in ice by VOIVOD during the early ‘80s and then brought to illogical end-points by the likes of GORGUTS, CRYPTOPSY and STRAPPING YOUNG LAD during the ‘90s (and DESPISED ICON, ION DISSONANCE, NEURAXIS and BENEATH THE MASSACRE during the ‘00s), the Canadian scene is an inverted wound that has fermented into a very visible scar, influencing loud propositions literally the world over.

New album update, February 25, 2011

Hi everybody, Luc here.

"Just a few words to let you know where we are with the songwriting of the new album. We got together at the end of January to finish up the last songs to complete the album. Colin and Kevin have contributed to the album with a song each. Amazingly well composed, their songs suit the GORGUTS aesthetic wonderfully.
